Credential Verification

User status is always reset to Account-In-Training (AIT) at the beginning of the year. Training and Proficiencies must be completed, and credentials verified to gain DTC, QTC, QA, or Alt-SEED Only access. All users administering the ORExt must be licensed staff.

District Test Coordinators (DTCs)

• After completing required training, DTCs will need to be credential verified by their regional State Admin Partners.

Qualified Test Coordinators (QTCs)

• After completing required training, QTCs will need to contact their DTC for credential verification.

Qualified Assessors (QAs)

• After completing required training, QAs will need to contact their district QTCs to verify their credentials.

Alt-SEED Only

• After completing required training, Alt-SEED Only users will need to contact their DTC or QTC for credential verification.

Qualified Trainers - How to Verify Credentials

After your QA has completed all training and proficiency, you will need to verify their credentials before they will have QA access. Login to or.k12test.com and go to the 'Admin' tab and select 'Users'. Select the account you would like to verify. Scroll down and check that the appropriate district and school are selected for this user. If additional schools are needed, you as the QT can add them here. If all information is correct, select the box to 'Verify Credentials' and click 'Save'.

All QAs administer the ORExt, therefore must be licensed staff. By checking the Credential Verification box, the DTC/QTC is verifying the QA has passed proficiency, attended district secure training, has assurances on file, and is a licensed professional. Verification also allows QAs access to student identifiable information in the district and school associated with their account. A link to the TSPC License Lookup is available to ensure QAs are registered with appropriate districts/schools and are licensed staff. 

DTCs and QTCs who will be administering the ORExt require licensure. The Credential and License Verified box will need to be selected before gaining access to Secure Materials. The TSPC License Lookup link is available for licensure verfication. DTCs will need to be verified by their State Admin Partner, and QTCs will need to be verified by their DTC. 

QTCs are not required to be licensed staff to oversee QA and Alt-SEED Only accounts. QTCs who will not be administering the ORExt will ONLY need the Credentials Verified box selected.
