Scoring

Electronic Scoring

Most scoring for the electronic administration is completed automatically by the database. Assessors are no longer required to score student responses. However, all writing items must be scored manually by the Assessor. All

All student writing taken electronically is recorded by the database and presented to the Assessor for scoring after the electronic administration has been submit and the exit PIN is entered. The required written outcome and scoring directions are presented, along with the student’s actual writing, and the Assessor is asked to score the response as correct or incorrect. If throughout the electronic administration, the writing items are administered paper/pencil, these will also need to be scored prior to final submission of the ELA assessment.

Paper/Pencil Scoring

All paper/pencil data entry is completed on the or.k12test.com site in the Testing, Test Students section for all rostered students. Primary eligibility codes are required to gain access to data entry. Assessors will select the student and subject area, and then select 'Data Entry'.

Once in Data Entry, the assessor will then select the student's response of A, B, or C for each item. Writing items are the only items scored by the Assessor and will have 0 or 1 options for data entry. After all data is entered, click ‘Submit’ to complete the data entry process. Data entry may also be completed in multiple sessions by selecting the 'Save & Exit' option.
